Section 5: Collection of capitation fee prohibited

Delhi Professional Colleges or Institutions Prohibition of Capitation Fee Regulation of Admission Fixation of Non-Exploitative Fee and Other Measures to Ensure Equity and Excellence Act, 2007

Collection of capitation fee prohibited.

(1)

No capitation fee other than the fee, shall be collected or received by or on behalf of an institution or by any person who is in charge of or is responsible for the management of such institution from or in relation to any candidate, in consideration of his admission to or continuance in or his promotion to any course of study, in such institution.

(2)

Where the Admission Regulatory Committee, on receipt of any complaint or otherwise, is satisfied that the management of an institution or any person in charge of it or is responsible for the management of such institution, has violated the provisions of sub-section (1), it may, after conducting an enquiry, recommend to the Government for taking penal action against the institution or the management.
