This Refund & Cancellation Policy forms part of the Court Book Terms & Conditions and applies to all purchases, subscriptions and premium services offered through the Court Book Platform.

Court Book provides digital subscriptions, premium legal research services and other digital products. As these services are delivered electronically and access is generally granted immediately after successful payment, all payments are final and non-refundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law or where a refund is processed directly by Apple or Google under their respective policies.

By purchasing any subscription, premium feature or paid service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. Nature of Digital Services

Court Book provides digital subscriptions, premium legal research tools, AI-powered features, legal content and other digital services that are delivered electronically. Once access has been granted, these digital services cannot be returned.

2. No Refund Policy

All purchases, subscriptions, renewals, upgrades and payments made through the Court Book Platform are final, non-cancellable and non-refundable, except where a refund is expressly required under applicable law or is processed directly by the relevant platform provider (such as Apple or Google) in accordance with their respective policies.

Once payment has been successfully processed and access to Premium Services has been granted, Court Book does not provide refunds, whether in whole or in part, including but not limited to the following situations:

• Change of mind;
• Accidental purchase;
• Failure to use the subscription;
• Partial use of the subscription period;
• Dissatisfaction with features or services;
• User expectations not being met;
• Internet connectivity issues;
• Unsupported or incompatible devices;
• Technical issues not solely caused by Court Book;
• Account suspension or termination due to violation of the Terms & Conditions.

Users are responsible for reviewing subscription plans, pricing, billing frequency and available features before completing any purchase.

3. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future automatic renewals.

Cancellation will stop future billing but will not result in a refund of any payment already processed.

Unless otherwise stated, you will continue to have access to Premium Services until the end of your current subscription period.

4. Payment Processing

Payments may be processed through Apple App Store, Google Play, authorised payment gateways, banking partners or other third-party payment service providers depending upon the platform through which the purchase is made.

Court Book does not directly collect or store your complete debit card number, credit card number, CVV, UPI PIN, internet banking credentials or other sensitive payment authentication information.

By completing a purchase, you also agree to the applicable terms, conditions and privacy policies of the relevant payment processor.

5. Google Play Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases made through Google Play are billed and processed by Google.

Refund requests, cancellations and payment disputes relating to Google Play purchases are governed solely by Google's applicable billing and refund policies.

Court Book cannot approve, reject or directly process refunds for purchases made through Google Play.

6. Apple App Store Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases made through Apple's App Store are billed and processed by Apple.

Refund eligibility, cancellations and payment disputes relating to App Store purchases are governed solely by Apple's billing and refund policies.

Court Book cannot approve or process refunds for purchases made through Apple's App Store.

7. Website and External Payment Gateway Purchases

Payments made directly through the Court Book website or through authorised third-party payment gateways are processed electronically.

All successful payments are final and non-refundable. Court Book does not cancel completed transactions or provide refunds once payment has been successfully processed and Premium Services have been activated.

If you believe a payment has been made without your authorisation, you should immediately contact Court Book and your payment provider.

8. Refund Exceptions Required by Law

Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy limits any mandatory rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable law that cannot legally be excluded.

Where a refund is required by applicable law, court order or a binding decision of a competent authority, Court Book will comply with such legal obligations.

For purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play, refund requests are governed exclusively by the applicable policies of Apple or Google.

9. Failed Payments and Payment Verification

Court Book reserves the right to delay, suspend or refuse activation of Premium Services where payment verification is incomplete or where fraudulent or unauthorised transactions are reasonably suspected.

If a payment fails, is reversed or is cancelled by the payment provider, access to Premium Services may be suspended until successful payment has been received.

10. Chargebacks and Fraud

Users agree not to initiate fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks after receiving access to Premium Services.

Court Book reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts associated with fraudulent payment activity, abuse of promotional offers, unauthorised payment methods, repeated chargebacks or other unlawful conduct.

Court Book may cooperate with payment processors, financial institutions and law enforcement authorities where required by applicable law.

11. Taxes

Applicable taxes, including GST or similar taxes where required by law, may be included in the purchase price.

12. Changes to this Refund & Cancellation Policy

Court Book may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in applicable laws, payment methods, Platform functionality or business practices.

The updated version becomes effective immediately upon publication unless otherwise stated.
