(1)
No holder of a permit granted under any of the provisions of this Act other than section 40B shall drink in a public place or in the rooms of a hotel or institution to which the public may have access.(2)
No holder of a permit granted under section 40A shall allow the use or consumption of any part of the quantity held by him to any other person.(3)
[ a person holding a permit under section 40, 41, 46, 46A or 47 may allow the use or consumption of any part of the quantity of foreign liquor possessed by him under the permit, to any other person who holds a permit under any of those sections.] [This portion was substituted for the words beginning with the words 'to sovereigns' and ending with the words 'envoy or consul', by Bombay 26 of 1952, Section 18.](4)
