Penalty for chemist, druggist or apothecary for allowing his premises to be used for the purpose of consumption of liquor.

- A chemist, druggist, apothecary or keeper of a dispensary who allows any liquor, which has not been Bonafide medicated for medicinal purposes according to the prescription of a [registered medical practitioner] [These words were substituted for the word 'medical practitioner' by Bombay 12 of 1959, Section 10.] or any intoxicating drug to be consumed on his business premises by any person, shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.
