Prohibition of registration in certain cases.

- Where any deed or document required to be registered under the Indian Registration Act, 1908 (Act No XVI of 1908), purports to sub-divide any land or transfer of any land within the Guwahati Metropolitan Area, no registering officer shall register any such document unless the party presenting the deed or document for registration produces a No-objection Certificates from the Authority to the Effect that the Authority has No-Objection to the registration of such deed or document.
