Section 66: Right of owner to require Authority to acquire or purchase land
Right of owner to require Authority to acquire or purchase land.
(1)
The owner of any land which is to be acquired for purpose of a scheme may, at any time after the sanction of the scheme by the Government, by a written notice to the Authority in the prescribed manner, call upon it to acquire or purchase the land in so far as the land is to be acquired by the State Government or the Authority.(2)
If within six months of the services of the notice under sub-section (1), the land is not purchased or acquisition proceedings are not started, the scheme in so far as that land is concerned, shall be deemed to have been withdrawn and all notices and orders in that connection shall lapse.Previous
