Section 304A: Causing deathly negligence
Causing deathly negligence.
- Whoever causes the death of any person by doing any rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide shall be punished with imprisonment of either description [for a term which shall not be less than one year but which may extend to five years, and shall also be liable to fine:] [Substituted by Act V of 1977, section 2.][Provided that where the death is caused by rash or negligent act by a person driving a motor vehicle without holding a driving licence, the minimum imprisonment under this section shall be two years.] [Added by Act V of 1977.]Previous
