Revenue Inspectors.
(1)
[The Deputy Commissioner may subject to the general orders of the Regional Commissioner or the State Government] [Substituted by Act 17 of 2007 w.e.f. 5.1.2007.], appoint a Revenue Inspector for each circle and he shall perform all the duties of a Revenue Inspector prescribed in or under this Act or in or under any other law for the time being in force, and shall hold office and be governed by such rules as may be prescribed.(2)
Persons holding the office of Revenue Inspector for a circle (by whatever name called) immediately prior to the commencement of this Act shall be deemed to be Revenue Inspectors for such circle till another person is appointed under sub-section (1).Previous
