Section 154: Certificate to be granted without extra charge
Certificate to be granted without extra charge.
(1)
Every holder of a building site within the area of any town or city to which a survey is ordered under section 152, shall be entitled, after payment of the survey fee in accordance with sub-section (2) of section 153 to receive from the [Tahsildar] [Substituted by Act 5 of 1970 w.e.f. 23.10.1969.] without extra charge a certificate, in the form prescribed or to the like effect, specifying the plan and description, the extent and conditions of his holding:Provided that if such holder does not apply for the certificate at the time of payment of the survey fee or thereafter within three months from the date of the notice by the Deputy Commissioner under section 153, the [Tahsildar] [Substituted by Act 5 of 1970 w.e.f. 23.10.1969.] may require him to pay an additional fee not exceeding one rupee for each certificate.(2)
Every such certificate shall be executed on behalf of the State Government by such officer as may from time to time be empowered to execute the same.Previous
