Section 158: Claim of State Government to have precedence over all others
Claim of State Government to have precedence over all others.
(1)
The claim of the State Government to any moneys recoverable under the provisions of this Chapter shall have precedence over any other debt, demand or claim whatsoever whether in respect of mortgage, judgment, decree, execution or attachment, or otherwise howsoever, against any land or the holder thereof.(2)
In all cases, the land revenue for the current revenue year, of land for agricultural purposes, if not otherwise discharged, shall be recoverable, in preference to all other claims, from the crop of such land.Disclaimer: This section is reproduced for general informational and reference purposes only.
