Mode of serving notices.
(1)
Every notice under this Act, unless it is otherwise expressly provided, shall be served by tendering or delivering a copy thereof, to the person on whom it has to be served or his agent, if he have any, or by affixing a copy thereof to some conspicuous place on the land, if any, to which such notice refers.(2)
If the person on whom the notice is to be served resides in any other district, the notice may be sent by post to the Deputy Commissioner of that district, who shall cause it to be served in accordance with sub-section (1).(3)
No notice served under this section shall be deemed void on account of any error in the name or designation of any person referred to therein, unless such error has caused substantial injustice.Previous
