Power to enter upon any lands or premises for the purposes of measurements, etc.
- Whenever necessary, for the purposes of measurement, fixing or inspecting boundaries, classification of soil, or assessment or for any other purpose connected with the lawful exercise of his office under the provisions of this Act, or of any other law for the time being in force, relating to land revenue, any Revenue Officer and, when under his observation and control, his servants and workmen, when so directed, may enter any land or premises, whether belonging to the State Government or to any other person:Provided that no person shall enter into any building used as a dwelling house or upon any enclosed court or garden attached to a dwelling house, unless with the consent of the occupier thereof, without giving such occupier previous notice of not less than seven days and in making such entry, due regard shall be paid to the social and religious sentiments of the occupier.Previous
