Section 16: Power to enter or survey, etc

Power to enter or survey, etc.

- On the issue of the notification under sub-section (2) of section 15, it shall be lawful for the Land Acquisition Officer or any person authorized by the State Government in this behalf, to-

(a)

make any inspection, survey, measurement, valuation or enquiry;

(b)

take levels;

(c)

dig or bore into sub-soil;

(d)

set out boundaries and intended lines of work;

(e)

mark such levels, boundaries and lines by placing marks and cutting trenches; or

(f)

do such other acts or things as may be prescribed.

Sec 15 — [ Power to acquire land, etc. [Sections 15 to 19E were substituted for sections 15 to 19 by Maharashtra 37 of 1999, Section 2, (w.e.f. 1.1.2000).]
