Prayagraj, November 5: In a major recognition of professional merit, the Allahabad High Court has designated 90 advocates as Senior Advocates under Section 16(2) of the Advocates Act, 1961. The decision, issued through a notification by Registrar General Manjeet Singh Sheoran, takes effect from November 5, 2025.

The move honours decades of advocacy, legal scholarship, and contribution to the justice system. The newly designated lawyers come from both Prayagraj and Lucknow benches, covering civil, criminal, and constitutional law practitioners.

The notification, issued by the Allahabad High Court Registrar General, was also circulated to the Supreme Court of India, Bar Council of India, and all High Courts for record and recognition.

With this, 90 advocates join the prestigious rank of Senior Advocates, a title symbolizing the highest professional standing in the legal fraternity.
