The Central Government has approved the recommendation made by the Supreme Court Collegium regarding the transfer of Justice Chandra Dhari Singh from the Delhi High Court to the Allahabad High Court.
The Ministry of Law and Justice issued an official notification confirming the transfer on Friday.
In November 2024, the Supreme Court Collegium, led by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, along with Justices BR Gavai and Surya Kant, recommended the repatriation of Justice Singh to his parent High Court.
Justice Chandra Dhari Singh initially joined the judiciary as an Additional Judge on September 22, 2017. Later, he was elevated as a Permanent Judge of the Allahabad High Court on September 6, 2019.
Subsequently, on October 11, 2021, he was transferred to the Delhi High Court.
