A Delhi court has issued a bailable warrant against YouTuber Dhruv Rathee in a defamation case filed by Vikas Sankrityayan, also known as Vikas Pandey, over a 2018 video.
The complaint relates to a video published in May 2018 that allegedly claimed the BJP’s Information Technology Cell attempted to bribe Pandey. The video was also retweeted by then Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, following which defamation proceedings were initiated against both.
The court was informed that notice could not be served because Rathee’s residence was found locked. Judicial Magistrate Rahul Jain subsequently issued a bailable warrant and fixed October 31, 2026, for the next hearing.
