The Delhi High Court has designated a special court at the Rouse Avenue Court Complex to exclusively hear criminal cases related to examination paper leaks and the use of unfair means in public examinations. District Judge Anu Grover Baliga has been appointed to preside over the court, with the move aimed at ensuring quicker trials in such cases.
The decision comes amid growing concern over examination-related malpractice following nationwide protests over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. Students and youth groups have demanded strict action against those responsible, while the Centre has repeatedly stressed the need to protect the integrity of public examinations.
An official notification issued by the High Court stated that the designated court would exclusively hear criminal cases registered under the relevant legal provisions dealing with paper leaks and other unfair practices in public examinations.
While issuing the notification, the High Court created a dedicated forum to handle such matters on a priority basis. The notification provides that the court will deal exclusively with offences linked to examination paper leaks and the adoption of unfair means during public examinations.
Judge Anu Grover Baliga, presently serving as District Judge (Commercial)-04, South-East District, has been assigned to head the special court at the Rouse Avenue Courts.
The designation follows the Centre's announcement of fast-track courts for paper leak cases and is intended to facilitate expeditious trial of criminal proceedings arising from examination-related offences.
