A 30-year-old judicial officer Aman Kumar Sharma posted at Karkardooma Court was found dead at his residence in South Delhi’s Green Park area on Saturday, officials confirmed.
The officer, Aman Kumar Sharma, was serving as Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) for the North-East district. A PCR call was received at Safdarjung Enclave police station around 1:45 PM from his brother-in-law, alerting authorities about the situation.
Police teams reached the spot and reportedly entered the house after breaking open the door. Sharma was found in the bathroom and rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
An official stated that initial findings point towards a suspected suicide, though no clear conclusion has been drawn so far. “We are examining every possible angle,” the officer said. No note has been recovered, and statements of family members are being recorded.
Sharma joined the Delhi Judicial Service in June 2021 after completing his law degree from Symbiosis Law School, Pune. During his service, he handled both civil and criminal matters across different courts.
The body has been sent for postmortem examination. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are awaiting further details before reaching any final conclusion.
