Jharkhand Govt School Teacher Recruitment Results Expected Between July and September: High Court Takes Note of Revised Timeline

The Jharkhand High Court has officially acknowledged a revised schedule submitted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) for the recruitment of 26,000 government school teachers across the state. This recruitment targets two main categories: Graduate Trained Teachers (for Classes 6 to 8) and Intermediate Trained Teachers (for Classes 1 to 5). The updated timeline suggests that results will be declared between July and September 2025.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice M. S. Ramachandra Rao and Justice Rajesh Shankar recorded in its April 23, 2025 order:

In that affidavit, revised timelines have been indicated for completion of selection... All efforts shall be made by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission to ensure that these timelines are adhered to.”

The court has fixed June 30, 2025, for the next hearing and has directed the JSSC to submit a status report confirming compliance with these timelines.

This category involves the recruitment of 15,001 posts across multiple subjects:

Final answer keys are set to be published by the third week of April 2025. The merit list will be prepared by mid-May, followed by document verification in late May and early June. Final results are expected in the first week of July 2025.

Recruitment Timeline for Intermediate Trained Teachers (Classes 1 to 5)

This phase includes 11,000 teaching posts:

  • Final answer keys for most papers will be released by the third week of April 2025.
  • A re-examination for certain languages like Kurmali, Panchpargania, and Ho (Paper 2) is scheduled for the fourth week of May 2025.
  • Merit list preparation is planned for early June.
  • Document verification for approximately 13,000 shortlisted candidates is expected between late July and August 2025.
  • Final results will be published in the second week of September 2025.

Background and Court’s Direction

This revised timeline came after the Jharkhand High Court expressed dissatisfaction with JSSC’s original schedule submitted on April 11, 2025, which stretched recruitment into January 2026. The court, concerned about delays impacting the upcoming academic year, directed JSSC to shorten the timeline.
