The corridors of the Patna High Court buzzed with anticipation today after the Centre issued its official notification. The President, exercising powers under Article 217, has appointed Justice Pavankumar Bhimappa Bajanthri as the new Chief Justice of Patna High Court.
During the announcement, a senior law officer remarked,
"The bench observed, ‘continuity of judicial leadership is vital for stability."
The appointment will take effect from the day Justice Bajanthri formally takes charge.
With this, Bihar's top court prepares for a new phase under his leadership.
