The President of India has confirmed Justice Kurubarahalli Venkataramareddy Aravind as a permanent judge of the Karnataka High Court. Justice Aravind had been serving as an Additional Judge and will now continue in a permanent capacity.
In a parallel order, three judicial officers -
- Smt. Geetha Kadaba Bharatharaja Setty
- Shri Borkatte Muralidhara Pai
- Shri Tyagaraja Narayan Inavally
were appointed as Additional Judges of the High Court for a two-year term.
The Ministry of Law and Justice issued the notifications on Friday, noting, "The President is pleased to appoint…"as per constitutional provisions. Officials expressed hope that the new appointments will help reduce the burden of pending cases in the High Court.
The appointments will take effect once the judges formally assume charge.
