The Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, on 13 August 2025, issued a notification announcing the appointment of three Additional Judges to the Bombay High Court.

Under Article 224(1) of the Constitution, the President has appointed:

Shri Ajit Bhagwanrao Kadethankar

Shri Sushil Manohar Ghodeswar

Ms. Aarti Arun Sathe

as Additional Judges, in order of their seniority. Their tenure will be for a period of two years from the date they assume office.

"The President is pleased to make these appointments," the notification stated.

The details of these appointments have been sent to the Governors and Chief Ministers of Maharashtra and Goa, the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, and other relevant constitutional and judicial authorities.
