SC Collegium Approves Appointment of Two Advocates as Allahabad HC Judges

The Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on March 25, 2025, recommended the elevation of two advocates to the position of judges in the Allahabad High Court. The advocates whose names have been put forward are Shri Amitabh Kumar Rai and Shri Rajiv Lochan Shukla.

The Collegium’s official resolution states:

The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 25th March, 2025, has approved the proposal for appointment of the following Advocates as Judges of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad:

(i) Shri Amitabh Kumar Rai
(ii) Shri Rajiv Lochan Shukla
