The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the elevation of three High Court Chief Justices as Judges of the Supreme Court of India.
The three Chief Justices recommended for elevation are:
- Justice Sunita Agarwal — Chief Justice, High Court of Gujarat (PHC: Allahabad)
- Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya — Chief Justice, High Court of Delhi (PHC: Allahabad)
- Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh — Chief Justice, High Court for the State of Telangana (PHC: Jharkhand)
The recommendations were made at a meeting of the Supreme Court Collegium held on 28 September 2026.
According to the statement issued following the Collegium meeting, the three Chief Justices have been recommended for appointment as Judges of the Supreme Court.
