SCAORA Establishes Help Desk to Assist Advocates-on-Record in Supreme Court Practice

The Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association (SCAORA) has introduced a dedicated Help Desk aimed at supporting Advocates-on-Record (AORs) in their Supreme Court practice. This initiative is designed to provide guidance on procedural and substantive matters, helping AORs navigate legal complexities effectively.

The Help Desk will be managed by experienced AORs who will offer insights on various crucial aspects, including case preparation, filing deadlines, and Supreme Court procedures. By offering expert assistance, the initiative seeks to ensure that AORs can handle their cases with greater confidence and efficiency.

In a formal communication to the Secretary General of the Supreme Court, Mr. Nikhil Jain, the Honorary Secretary of SCAORA, highlighted the importance of this initiative. He noted that the project was launched in response to valuable suggestions from Supreme Court Judges and is aimed at enhancing the legal fraternity’s access to crucial resources.

"This initiative will be a valuable asset for all Advocates-on-Record, particularly those who are new to Supreme Court practice. It will help them understand procedural requirements and avoid common pitfalls," the letter stated.

The Help Desk is located at the SCAORA office and will operate twice a month, specifically on the first and third Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Advocates can also reach out via phone or email for assistance, ensuring accessibility for those unable to visit in person.

SCAORA encourages all AORs to utilize this facility and benefit from the collective expertise of seasoned legal professionals. This initiative is expected to enhance the efficiency of Supreme Court practice and provide invaluable support to both new and experienced AORs alike.
