The Supreme Court of India has announced that designated Senior Counsels will not be allowed to mention any case before the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India from 11 August 2025.

"Designated Senior Counsels are not permitted to mention any case before the Court of Hon'ble the Chief Justice of India with effect from Monday, 11.08.2025." - Supreme Court Notice

The notice, issued on 8 August 2025, has been circulated to the Supreme Court Bar Association and the Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association for display on their notice boards. It has also been sent to all Supreme Court notice boards to inform members and concerned parties.
