The Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on 1st July 2025, approved the proposal for appointment of three Judicial Officers as Judges of the Allahabad High Court.
The approved names are:
• Shri Pramod Kumar Srivastava-II
• .Shri Santosh Rai
• Shri Zafeer Ahmad
“The Collegium has recommended these names after considering the inputs received from all stakeholders,” noted the court’s official record.
As per the data available on 4th July 2025, the Allahabad High Court is currently functioning with only 84 judges, including the Chief Justice. However, the total sanctioned strength for the court is 160.
