The Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on 25 August 2025, has recommended the elevation of two Chief Justices of High Courts to serve as Judges of the Supreme Court.
The Collegium recommended the following names:
- Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court (Parent High Court: Madhya Pradesh).
- Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi, Chief Justice of the Patna High Court (Parent High Court: Gujarat).
This recommendation marks another significant step in strengthening the top judiciary with experienced judges from diverse High Courts across the country.
