The Supreme Court of India has issued a notice announcing the constitution of a Special Bench for hearing important cases on August 28, 2025 (Thursday). The bench will sit in Court No. 5 at 1:15 p.m.

The court’s official notice clearly states:
“Special Bench comprising Hon’ble Mr. Justice Pamidighantam Sri Narasimha and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Joymalya Bagchi is constituted on 28.08.2025 (Thursday) in Court No. 5 at 1:15 p.m. to hear (1) SLP(C) No. 30748-49/2017 & (2) R.P(C) No. 1565/2025 in SLP(C) No. 13689/2025.”

Changes in Other Court Sittings
The notice further informs that Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal will not be holding court on August 28, 2025. Due to this, the sitting of Court No. 14, which was to be presided by Justice Rajesh Bindal along with Justice Manmohan, stands cancelled.
However, Justice Manmohan will still take up Single Judge Bench / Chamber Matters in Court No. 14 at 10:30 a.m. on the same day, as per a separate list issued by the Supreme Court.
