Section 69: Disqualification for nomination as Independent Member
Disqualification for nomination as Independent Member.
- A person shall not be eligible to be nominated as an Independent Member of State Committee or of the District Committee, if he-(a)
is not a citizen of India;(b)
has been convicted by a court of law, or against whom charges of an offence involving moral turpitude have been framed by a court;(c)
has been dismissed, removed or compulsorily retired from any public service;(d)
has been declare insolvent by a court of law;(e)
is of unsound mind; or(f)
is or has been a Member of Parliament or the Legislature of a State or a local body; or is or has been an office-bearer of any political party or any organisation connected with a political party; or is or has been a member of any political party or any organisation affiliated to a political party.Previous
