11. (1) The Vice-Chancellor may, with the approval of the executive council, appoint a Pro-Vice-Chancellor from amongst the professors of the colleges.
(2) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall hold the office at the pleasure of Vice- Chancellor.
(3) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall be entitled to such honorarium as may be determined by the State Government from time to time.
(4) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall assist the Vice-Chancellor in respect of such matters, as may be specified by the Vice-Chancellor in this behalf from time to time and shall preside over the meeting of the University in the absence of the Vice-Chancellor and shall exercise such other powers and perform such duties as may be assigned or delegated to him by the Vice-Chancellor.
(2) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall hold the office at the pleasure of Vice- Chancellor.
