Section 16

Recognition of Degrees.

The degrees, diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions granted by the University, shall be recognized by ¹[the Central and State Governments] to the same extent and, in the same manner as the corresponding degrees, diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions granted by any other University incorporated by ²[a Central Act].
