Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the State Government may, on its own motion or otherwise, after calling for the records of the case, review the order made by an authority under section 6 or under sub-section (6) of section 7, and
(a) confirm, modify or set aside the order,
(b) remit the case to the authority which has made the order directing such further action as it considers proper, or
(c) pass such orders as it deems fit:
Provided that no final order under this section shall be made unless the aggrieved party is given a reasonable opportunity of showing cause.
