(1) There shall be an ordinary general meeting of the Municipality
once within sixty days and minimum six meetings in a calendar
year and the business of the meeting shall be conducted in
accordance with such procedure as may be prescribed.
(2) The Chairperson shall call a special meeting for a date
not more than seven days from the date of receiving a request in
writing signed by not less than one-third of elected members of the Municipality specifying the resolution, which is proposed to be
moved.
(3) If the Chairperson fails to call a special meeting within
the time specified under sub-section (2), the Chief Municipal
Officer shall call such meeting within ten days from the date on
which the time specified in sub-section (2) expires.
