(1) A tenant, other than a non-occupancy tenant, may plant trees on his holding.
(2) If a tenant plants, or proposes to plant, trees in such a way as to diminish the value of land not included in his holding, any person, whose consent is required under the provisions of Section 68, may apply to the Assistant Collector in-charge of the sub-division for an order prohibiting the planting of trees on certain land or directing the tenant to remove trees already planted thereon, and the Assistant Collector may, after hearing such of the parties as wish to be heard, either grant the application subject to such modification, if any, as he think fit or reject it.
