Exercise of certain powers of appointing authority by lower authorities.
- The powers conferred on the appointing authority or the competent authority, as the case may be, to declare the satisfactory completion of probation under section 32 or to extend the period of probation under section 31 or section 33 shall also be exercised by an authority competent to withhold the increment of a Government servant:Provided that the Head of an office shall also exercise the powers conferred on the appointing authority to declare the satisfactory completion of probation under section 32 of Government servants in Group 'D'.Previous
