Power of Panchayat Union Council to provide for certain other matters.
- Subject to the provisions of this Act and the Rules made thereunder, a Panchayat Union Council may, within the limits of its funds, make such provision as it thinks fit for carrying out the requirements of the Panchayat Union in respect of measures of public utility other than those specified in section 112, calculated to promote the safety, health, comfort or convenience of the inhabitants of the Panchayat Union:[***] [[The following proviso was omitted by Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Third Amendment) Act, 1999 (Tamil Nadu Act 29 of 1999).'Provided that nothing in this section shall apply to water supply for non-irrigation purposes and to sewerage.']]Previous
