Government's power to add to functions of Panchayat Union Council.
- Subject to such Rules as may be prescribed, [the Government, the Director of Rural Development or any other Head of Department or the Collector] [Substituted for the words 'the Government, the Commissioner of Land Administration, the Collector or Revenue Divisional Officer' by Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Third Amendment) Act, 1999 (Tamil Nadu Act 29 of 1999).] or any person or body of persons may transfer to the Panchayat Union Council with its consent and on such terms as may be agreed upon, the management of any institution or the execution or maintenance of any work, or the exercise of any power or the discharge of any duty whether within or without the Panchayat Union Council and whether provided for in this Act or not.Previous
