Section 59: Minimum penalty for personation at an election

Minimum penalty for personation at an election.

- Notwithstanding anything contained in section 171-F of the Indian Penal Code (Central Act XLV of I860), any person who, in connection with an election under this Act, commits an offence of personation punishable under that section shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than six months and not more than two years and with fine.
