Section 10: Withdrawal of recognition by the Competent Authority
Withdrawal of recognition by the Competent Authority.
- The competent authority may, at any time, for reasons to be recorded in writing, by an order withdraw permanently the recognition of any private school, which does not comply with any of the provisions of this Act, or the rules or the directions issued thereunder in so far as such provisions of this Act, the rules or directions are applicable to such private school:Provided that no order of withdrawal of recognition under this section, shall be passed by the competent authority unless the educational agency has been given an opportunity of making representation:Provided further that the order of withdrawal of recognition under this section, if made during the course of an academic year, such order shall take effect only at the end of the academic year:Provided also that no order of withdrawal of recognition under this section, shall be made without making necessary arrangements for the continuance of the instruction of the pupil of that private school in any other recognised school.Disclaimer: This section is reproduced for general informational and reference purposes only.
