Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement

Transfer of Property Act, 1977

Short title, extent and commencement.

(1)

This Act may be called the Transfer of Property Act, 1977.

(2)

It extends to the whole of Jammu and Kashmir State. It shall come into force on the 1st day of Baisakh, 1978.
