Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement

U.P. Industrial Disputes Act, 1947

Short title, extent and commencement.

(1)

This Act may be called "The Uttar Pradesh Industrial Disputes Act, 1947".

(2)

It extends to the whole of [Uttar Pradesh] [Substituted by the A.O. 1950 for 'the United Provinces'.].

(3)

It shall come into force on such date [as the] [The Act came into force on February 1, 1948.] [State Government] [Substituted by the A.O. 1950.] may by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.

Sec 2 — [ Definitions. [Substituted by U.P. Act No. 1 of 1957.]
