Section 23: Rule-making power

Rule-making power.

- [(1)] [Re-numbered by U.P. Act No. 1 of 1957.] The [State Government] [Substituted by the A.O. 1950 for 'Provincial Government'.] may make rules consistent with this Act for giving effect to tire provisions of this Act.

(2)

[ Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power such rules may provide for, -

(a)

the manner of appointment of Presiding Officer or Labour Courts and Tribunals and the conditions of their employments;

(b)

the manner in which reference shall be made to a Labour Court or a Tribunal;

(c)

the manner of appointment of Conciliation Officers and the conditions of their employment;

(d)

the procedure to be followed in conciliation proceedings;

(e)

the manner of remission of award by the State Government to the adjudicating authority;

(f)

the manner of registration of settlements;

(g)

the manner and the form in which muster-rolls of workmen shall be maintained; and

(h)

the matters which are to be and may be prescribed.
