Commutation of rent.
(1)
Where the rent in respect of any holding is payable otherwise than in cash, the Assistant Collector may, of his own motion or on the application of the [Gram Panchayat] [Substituted 'Gram Sabha' by U.P. ActNo. 4 of 2016
, dated 11.3.2016.] or the person by or to whom the rent is payable, commute the rent in the manner prescribed.(2)
The rent commuted under sub-section (1) shall be payable from the first day of July following the date of die order of commutation unless the order provides for some other date.Previous
