Section 224: Power to call for statement

Power to call for statement.

(1)

Where any Revenue Officer considers it necessary for the enforcement of the provisions of this Code, it may call upon any tenure holder or any person in possession of any land to furnish within such time as may be specified, a statement containing the nature and extent of his interest in the land held or possessed by him as well as by members of his family.

(2)

The tenure holder or other person referred to in sub-section (1) may also be called upon to disclose the name and address of any other person possessing any interest in such land including the nature and extent of such interest.
