Lease how made.- Notwithstanding anything contained in the Transfer of Property Act, 1882 (Act No. 14 of 1882), or the Indian Registration Act, 1908 (Act No. 16 of 1908) a lease referred to in Section 95 for a period exceeding one year shall be made either by a registered instrument or in the manner prescribed.Explanation.- A lease which fails to comply with the provisions of this section shall not be deemed by reason thereof to be a transfer in contravention of the provision of this Chapter. |
