Dangerous performances.
(1)
No person shall without the previous permission of the Commis-sioner or the District Magistrate, as the case may be, and except in accordance with any conditions subject to which such permission is granted hold or give in any place which is likely to cause an assembly of person, any performance in which or during which he buries himself underground, or seals himself in receptacle or other thing, in such manner as to prevent all access of air to him and for such time as would ordinarily result in death by suffocation.(2)
If any person contravenes or attempts to contravene the provisions of this sec-tion, he shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine, or with both.(3)
Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, the offence punishable under this section shall be cognizable.Previous
