Every person, who is a tenant of sir at the commencement of this Act and who does not become a hereditary tenant under the provisions of Section 14 or Section 15 or Section 16 or whom is admitted thereafter as a tenant of sir, shall be entitled to retain possession of his holding for a period of five years from the date of the commencement of this Act or of admission, as the case may be.
1 " 20-A. Every person who, on the date of the commencement of the United Provinces Tenancy (Amendment) Act, 1947, is a tenant of sir-holding from a sir-holder to whom the provisions of the first proviso to clause (a) of Section 6 apply, and who does not become a hereditary tenant under the provisions of Section 14 or Section 15 or section 16, shall be entitled to retain possession of his holding for a period of five years from that date. "
