(1) The officer in-charge of a
police Station shall promptly received and record every information relating to
the commission of a cognizable offence in accordance with the provisions of
the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act No. 2 of 1974).
(2) Where any person sends or gives information to the District Superintendent of police of the facts, which prima facie constitute a cognizable offence, and alleges that the officer in-charge of the Police Station having jurisdiction has refused to record the information, the District Superintendent of Police shall immediately proceed to take or cause to be taken disciplinary action as per rules against the officer in-charge of the Police Station.
(3) Any punishment award in the said disciplinary proceedings shall be recorded in the service record of the concerned officer and shall be considered always when his efficiency and performance is required to be adjudged.
(2) Where any person sends or gives information to the District Superintendent of police of the facts, which prima facie constitute a cognizable offence, and alleges that the officer in-charge of the Police Station having jurisdiction has refused to record the information, the District Superintendent of Police shall immediately proceed to take or cause to be taken disciplinary action as per rules against the officer in-charge of the Police Station.
(3) Any punishment award in the said disciplinary proceedings shall be recorded in the service record of the concerned officer and shall be considered always when his efficiency and performance is required to be adjudged.
