Every member of the Legislative Assembly of the State shall be entitled to receive a salary of fourty thousand rupees per mensem with effect from 1st April, 2019 or with effect from the date on which the declaration of the result of his election to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly is published in the Official Gazette under section 67 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (Central Act 43 of 1951), whichever may be later, until he ceases to be such member :
Provided that no member shall claim such salary unless he makes and subscribes the oath or affirmation of his office under Article 188 of the Constitution :
Provided further that such salary shall be liable to such deductions for continued absence or other cause as may be provided in the rules made by the State Government in this behalf.
